Abstarct – This project presents the design and implementation of a comprehensive DC motor protection system using Arduino Uno microcontroller. The system continuously monitors five critical parameters: voltage, current, temperature, and rotational speed (RPM) of the motor. It provides real-time protection against under voltage (180V), over voltage (250V), over current (5W equivalent), over temperature (40°C), and over speed (100 RPM). Upon detecting any fault condition, the system immediately disconnects the motor via a relay, activates a buzzer alarm, displays the fault type on a 16×2 LCD, and transmits fault details via serial communication. The system features an automatic reset function that attempts to restart the motor after 60 seconds, with manual reset option available. All sensor readings are calibrated and displayed in real-time on the LCD. This cost-effective and reliable protection system significantly extends motor life and prevents damage in industrial and educational applications.
