This count is displayed on an Arduino LCD, which serves as the central interface. The system intelligently controls the lights based on the presence of students, turning them on and off automatically to save energy. Additionally, it has a temperature-based fan control feature, which adjusts the fan speed or turns it on/off according to the room’s temperature, further optimizing power usage. A unique aspect of this project is its safety and efficiency feature: it uses an IR module to monitor the toilet’s occupancy time. If a person spends more than a predetermined ‘normal’ amount of time inside, the system triggers an alert, ensuring timely assistance or awareness of a potential issue.
