Product Description
Abstarct -This project automates cloth drying using an Arduino as the brain. A rain sensor is mounted outdoors to detect water droplets. Under clear skies, the sensor sends a low signal, and the clothesline is extended via a pulley and belt system. A servo motor controls this movement, rotating in one direction to push the line out into the open. When the rain sensor detects water, its output switches to high. The Arduino instantly processes this change and triggers two actions. First, it reverses the servo motor’s direction. This retracts the pulley system, pulling the clothesline, and the wet laundry, safely under the roof. Second, it activates a buzzer to provide an audible alert that rain has started. The system then continuously monitors the sensor. Once the rain stops and the sensor dries, its signal returns to low. The Arduino interprets this as the all-clear signal. It then commands the servo motor to rotate forward again. This action smoothly moves the clothesline back outside, resuming the drying process until the next rainfall.
