Design & Working Principle
The project is built on a plywood base to represent a smart city with four traffic zones. Four Hall Effect sensors detect the magnet installed inside or underneath the ambulance. The detected signal is sent to the Arduino, which identifies the ambulance’s zone and changes its front traffic light from red to green for about 5 seconds. A buzzer alerts nearby vehicles while other signals maintain safe traffic control. After 5 seconds, the system automatically returns to its normal traffic sequence and is powered by a 9V battery through an ON/OFF switch.
