Abstarct – The smart parking system uses an Arduino Atmega microcontroller with IR sensors to detect vehicle entry and exit. When a car arrives at the entry sensor, the system checks if parking slots are available. If spaces exist, a servo opens the gate and the vacancy count decreases by one on the LCD display using i2c. For vehicle exit, another IR sensor triggers the exit servo to open. The system displays real-time vacancy counts from 100 down to 0 on a 16×2 LCD. A green LED indicates available parking slots, while a red LED illuminates only when completely full. When the parking reaches full capacity, the entry buzzer sounds to alert drivers. All servo gates automatically close after three seconds. The system prevents entry when no vacancies exist. Continuous monitoring updates the display and LED indicators in real-time.
