Solar energy charges the battery through a controller, while the Arduino continuously samples data from a voltage divider, a current sensor, and a thermistor to assess the state of health and charge. If the battery falls below a safe threshold (Low Voltage Protection) or the DC fan (load) draws excessive current (Overload Protection), the Arduino triggers a relay to disconnect the load, preventing deep discharge or circuit damage. Simultaneously, the thermistor monitors for thermal runaway, halting operations if temperatures spike (Over Temp Protection). The ESP8266 module acts as a Wi-Fi gateway, transmitting these critical parameters—voltage, current, and temperature—to the Adafruit IO server. Users can view live health trends and receive alerts on a customized dashboard, while a local 16×2 LCD provides immediate status updates on-site. This dual-layered monitoring ensures the longevity of the battery bank while maintaining the safety of the connected DC load.
