Abstarct –
This weather monitoring system acts as a localized meteorological station, utilizing an Arduino microcontroller to process environmental data in real-time. The DHT11 sensor captures ambient temperature and humidity levels, while a Rain Sensor detects the presence and intensity of precipitation through a voltage comparator. To measure wind speed, a custom-built anemometer consisting of a propeller attached to a DC motor (dynamo) generates a small voltage proportional to the wind’s velocity, which the Arduino interprets as an analog signal. All gathered data—temperature, humidity, rain status, and wind speed—is displayed instantly on a 16×2 LCD screen for easy monitoring. The system provides a low-cost, efficient way to track weather patterns and can be expanded for IoT data logging.
